Lyrics

I’m Gonna Stay In Love

Lining rooftops high and low
Like dominoes falling icicles
Past my own sight dim and low
Peddling lightning on bicycle

And I’m gonna stay… In love
Mercy, mercy me
I’m gonna stay… in love
His beacon over me

I don’t want to cry … no more
Faith revived and energized
I’ve died a million times to fear
Tired of being … Paralyzed

Chorus

Baseball cards in rhythm song
Wound up tight elastic drum
Inside spokes, the harp plays on
Easing, soothing, childlike hum

Chorus

Safe in sight, in God’s mind eye
Beyond my routes capacity
Angels on my shoulders high
With Jesus setting my soul free

And I’m gonna stay … In love
Mercy me mercy me
I’m gonna stay in love
His beacon over me

Mighty Cross of Wood

Better not just talk about it
Put it on the mighty cross of wood
The answer comes when you don’t think about it
Just when you do not think it could

Better not just talk about it
He bled and died for you He stood
He bore it all on the cross of Calvary
For all mankind and brotherhood

In His hands the pain dissipates
He heals it all He said He would
When you look back you’ll see dear one
He works your troubles for the good

Better not just talk about it
Put it on the mighty cross of wood
A song of praise His mercy mild
His promises so true and good

Patient # 19

Only Jesus can heal my Soul
A soothing salve for my hearts’ aching…
What I need and what I’ll be
It’ll lie in the Arms of My Lord
I may be only Patient number nineteen
To one who’ll take a cursory look at me
But to Him, I am a Diamond, Pristine
And He loves me unconditionally
Only Jesus can satisfy
To The deepest Depths of my Souls longing
What I need and what I’ll be
It’ll lie in the Arms of My Lord
I may be only Patient Number Nineteen
But if You’ll microscope a deeper view
You’ll come back with your hearts eye all attuned
See the facets of a hundred brilliant hues

There is a river that flows inside of me
Where Healings waters flow…. effervescently
From side to side, atop a bridge complete
Look no hands …Look and see…

Only Jesus, through catalyst
Transforms affliction, into belonging
What I need and what I’ll be
It’ll lie in the Arms of my Lord

I may be only patient number nineteen
to one who’ll take a cursory look at me
But to Him I am a Diamond Pristine
And He loves me, unconditionally

Only Jesus can satisfy
To the deepest depths of my souls longing…
What I need and what I’ll be
It’ll lie in the arms of MY Lord

The First Snow

The snow made a warm blanket
Without making a sound
Then it disappeared melting to the ground
Slowly, she faded
Turning to rain
Somehow she broke a smile
Before she softly said goodbye
She was the first snow, although you didn’t know
You didn’t want to know, until she had to go
And so she slipped away, abating like a drizzling mist
As the fog did lift
Her scent would somehow last forever …
Of copper teapots
Winter woolens
Blackstrap molasses
Comfort in dreams
Still she’d have to go away …
Slowly, she faded
Turning to rain
All creation was cleansed to bloom again

Enough

It is enough
That Thou The Christ
Himself has died for me
I am no better than someone else
The Cross has set us free

I’d gladly die for you to know
But it could ne’r suffice
What only He could be for you
I pray for you each night

You may not see for many a year
My one and lone desire
My wish for you is Jesus friend
For you He bled and died

I’m only an Ambassador
A vessel pure and true
A symbol of His wondrous love
And care I have for you

Peace I Leave With You

Are there thoughts running through your mind?
That you can’t leave behind?
Are you All wrapped up in the past mistakes you’ve made?
Well there’s something that Jesus wants you to know
He remembers them no more.

He said “Peace I leave with you … My peace … I give unto you
Not as the world would give it, but give I unto you.
Let not your heart be troubled; neither let it be afraid
For lo … I’m with you always … till the end … of the age

Do you know though your sins be Scarlett, He’s made you white as the snow?
He’s washed you clean … In the blood He shed for you
So let us not dwell upon our sins of yesterday
For He remembers them no more.

– Peace I leave with you … My peace … I give unto you
Not as the world would give it, but give I unto you
Let not your heart be troubled; neither let it be afraid
For lo I’m with you always … Till the end … Of the age

Au Contraire

Although you were gone
From sight my dear
I seemed to see you everywhere
In the very corners of my mind…
In the hushings and the crushings
The rustling of the evening leaves
Low and crackled sigh…
I was sure
I heard a voice that creaked
I’m still here
Like an old
rocking chair

“Au Contraire”

Lent to me
For a deeper wisdom
Ecliptic pain
Twas like a yawning abyss
Unsealed
Unhealed
For a time
Donning down
A deep lament
Of a tree bent
On the ides of May

“Au contraire”

Fair thee well
Shall it never be
Met with screams
In the night
Echoing in the Hollows
Of a dream…
Never spent
Of apple pies and Sunday flair
Butterflies that fill the air

“Au contraire”

Tis God who bends
And breaks the darkness
And brings the fresh new dawn again
Yet whilst we wait
Will calm our soul
Be our holy guide
Lift us up
and be our salve
Heads held high
With hat and glove
To look beyond
And again find love
With embodied faith
Cause hope
To try

Blues Riff #19

Show me the way to go home dear lover
I got an achin in my head
I’m tired of all the drama and the beg beg beg
And I wanna go softly to bed

Does anyone want truth dear lover
I’ve learned quite a long time ago
Important is as important does
No face has the beauty so low

Home is in the heart, in the heart sweet lover
My head is relieved, clearly now
The dead bury the dead and before I’m dead
I wanna go softly to bed

The dead bury the dead and before I’m dead
I wanna go softly to bed

Cathedral of Love

In a temple of tears
He was on trial for truth
To end eye for an eye
And a tooth for a tooth

He would lay on a cross
So that we could have peace
He would bear all the suffering
For our Sin to release
So that we would not perish
In a grave of lies
He saw us through it all
He heard all of our cries

It was finished in that moment
When He absorbed the shove
Turned the sifting mill
Into a Cathedral of love…

When the mixture of our broken lives
Hits the rugged mine
And we’re too tired to fight
He gently reminds…

Come closer…look above
Come into my arms
Come into the safety of
The Cathedral of love

Finally and surely
We come to realize
That in our heaviness
We look to Him, the prize

Through the tossing and the turning
The rubble has been loosed
The brilliance of the sheen
Still hangs in the sluice

Ne’er the weary for the journey
When we could not bear
He was grinding long and hard
He was with us there

He said let us go
Let us rock and let us roll
He carried us on
Gloryland toll

In silence and in Majesty
Settling down the precious stays
Not a word would a heaped up heart
Long to say…
Cept Love so strong
Can filter all
and bring us to perfection
Of the new day

Tis Jesus who took us
To tranquility
Tis Jesus who carried us
On Calvary

In His longsuffering process
He sent His Spirit from above
Where He brought us forth as gold
In the Cathedral of Love

To God be the Glory
and Honor to Thee
Who carried us over
To jubilee

Exigencies

Exigencies

”Cast all your cares upon Him
“For He Careth for you “

I’m wringing out the sageness
of an old and aged tree
This bird has sprung from her prison, cageless
Away from in her inner reverie

Now at last a new day
Has begun the trip in me
Grace is for the humble
Dissonance release

Between You and I
And this old notched lamppost beam
I’m diving … I’m diving …
Diving into peace

I’ve built my new nest, upon the crest
With the wisdom of my God
Discerning what is exigent
The aglets simple knot

I’ve learned to feel the brush at rest
Each morn His tender grace
All is quiet … all is still …
With the curious fixed end lace

Between you and I
And this old notched lamppost beam
I’m diving … I’m diving
Diving into peace

Happy in His Spirit
Content and satisfied
For such things, that are eternal
Exigencies … Exigencies
In His Hands cease
