I’d rather feel the discomfort
Of the truth told in love
To be alone
With the Lord on the throne
Than the deception of the short lived comfort
Of lies that protrude
For the sweet taste of honey
Turns to gravel in the throat
When taking the easy way
No rocking of the boat
Deepens the gully
On the next latitude
