I’d rather be discerning
Than judgemental, if I may
Float atop the water
Ride above the fray

My Lord, my light, my compass
On course, my rudder straight
His heart upon my heart of hearts
To gently lead the way
–
Fully tuned  to Jesus
Guided by His word
Singing like a mourning dove
His song my heart has heard

Above the fierce melee
I shall not be not dismayed
I’ll slice it clean, let God allay
I shall not be afraid
–
Sailing In His Spirit
To cease or to engage
I’m letting go and letting God
Forgiveness wins the day
