Autumn Leaves

There’s a gentle wind
Outside my window
Blowing me fresh kisses
The leaves rustle back and forth
On the stoney path
One by one they saunter through the air
Softly swirling, sand dancing
Before taking their bow
Shadows are moving in the flickering sun
Designing colorful, herbal, kaleidoscope fun
Like sheaves, sweeping the sultry summer air
away …
My woolen Cardigan, like Gods love
Warms my heart …
Steadily, perfectly, rhythmically
Little by little the pendulum slows
All in God’s plan
There’s balance in the breezy air
His kindness softens change
and that is comforting to me …
Lulling me back to sleep
I may, … never wake up
