Letting Go
Obedient for love
The God reliant kind
I’m trusting in my Savior
Feel the hushing of my mind
–
My wants, merely, a vapor
His will is my desire
Bondage broke, forever
Because of Jesus, all the while
–
His word my strong foundation
I’ll not build my house on sand
Upon the rock of Christ I am
Safe in His command
–
Each morning comes a shining
In new facets of His Love
The new winds blow His Healing
Wisdom’s wait comes from above

Fully Tuned To Jesus
I’d rather be discerning
Than judgemental, if I may
Float atop the water
Ride above the fray

My Lord, my light, my compass
On course, my rudder straight
His heart upon my heart of hearts
To gently lead the way

Fully tuned to Jesus
Guided by His word
Singing like a mourning dove
His song my heart has heard
Above the fierce melee
I shall not be not dismayed
I’ll slice it clean, let God allay
I shall not be afraid

To cease or to engage
I’m letting go and letting God
Forgiveness wins the day

Emptiness and fright
And somethings just not right
Holy Spirit flow through us tonight
That we may show
The depths of Your love

Maybe I think too much …
Sometimes it causes me pain
Do I love too much in my hope

I can’t make you drink from His cistern

Release The Sting
I flew in your circle to find you
Pined away hours and gasped
I struggled as a mine eyed canary
Held my breath, layed low, by an asp
–
No one could see I was crying
Still quiet was I, unbeknownst
To the one I thought n’er would blindside me
As I hid and felt all alone
–
Yet the pressure drew me closer toward heaven
God’s word, my oxygen tent
I let go and let Jesus protect me
From the enemies sting that was sent
–
The sting of the vipers sore venom
Was dead in it’s own rebuke
In the still, open door, a breath of fresh air
A place of warm, graceful repute
–
Looking for you in the circle
The choice is yours, yours alone
Releasing the sting in the moment
Almighty God reigns on the throne
–
The Spirit of life, love, forgiveness,
Breathes new life, the stings antidote
Hallelujah, it’s God’s Holy Spirit
Who helps us and teaches His own

In our feeble finite mind
The glass is only dimly lit
But it need not ever bind

Holy Spirit lead us
On Hope’s high ground, we bide
Jesus strength, that conquers all

The healing rains

Precious there, a broken heart
Ne’r a weakness to impart
Tis strength disguised, in humble gates
Artful waves of streaming tears
With healing wisdom, as it waits
Learns to lose, because of love
Jesus love . . .
Softer than the falling rain
True love gains and lives again
Where new dreams doth emerge and call
Fills the hollows up with grace
The island stands not merely lone
When water all around it’s shores
Keeps it buffered for a time
Until the island meets it’s form
Where substance of our faith is born
